I love winter because I love being cozy. Warm sweaters, soft tees, silky blankets--what could be better? 

This winter I've been obsessed with Love Your Melon. An apparel company that mainly sells hats but has since added tees, sweatshirts, blankets, pillows and more, Love Your Melon donates 50% of a purchase to several charity partners who are fundraising or working on cancer research or providing support to families and children affected by cancer. Alex's Lemonade Stand is one such partner. When I was 10 years old, I lost my best friend. She has forever remained an influence in my life and I strive to live with the same positivity, kindness, intelligence and fearlessness that she did. While in the hospital, she met Alex, the founder of ALS. In our town, we would host Alex + Christi's Lemonade Stand. I can remember during the memorial lemonade stand celebrating Christi's life, my friends and I read Alex's Lemonade Stand's book while holding back tears. 

When I found out about Love Your Melon, and that it supported ALS, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. Today I have five--yes, five--hats and I tell everyone I meet about LYM. I'm a complete beanie person now and I've been wearing them everywhere even if I'm just sitting in my living room (writing this now on my couch I'm wearing one of my favorites, the Confetti beanie).
