New Year's Eve Party (+Oreo Truffle Recipe)

Hello 2018! While 2017 was an amazing year, I'm so ready to welcome a new year. And what better way to do that than celebrate with a party!

This was my first year throwing a little soirée for NYE. As any party planner does, I started with the theme--champagne nights. Then I built from there, adding the tassel overhang, champagne and champagne flutes, and Oreo truffles to tie everything together. While I was shopping for all the party essentials, I came across this sparkly champagne number at Target (only $25!) and knew I had found the NYE dress of my dreams.

The dress paired perfectly with my favorite jacket from Francesca's. I purchased it two years ago and it has been my favorite piece of all time. The tough faux-leather jacket complimented the feminine glitter of the dress and reminded me of what I hope for in 2018--a year full of love, confidence and kicking a** in all aspects of life.

Oreo truffles are one of the easiest and quickest treats I've made and they are a crowd-favorite! Here's my super easy recipe:

Ingredients:

1 package of regular Oreos

1 package of 8 oz. cream cheese

1 package of white chocolate chips

1 package of milk chocolate chips

Crush Oreos in a bag, using a pan or rolling pin; set aside a few crumbles. Combine Oreos with cream cheese; roll into balls. Freeze balls for 30 minutes or so. Melt both chocolate chips; coat balls with melted chocolate, sprinkle with reserved crushed Oreos. Freeze for an hour. Serve.

Champagne is a necessary for toasting 2017 away and welcoming 2018! Is it even NYE without it?

I hope you all had a Happy New Year and are ready for 2018!
