Saying Goodbye to Fort Worth with Shop Modish

For four years, I’ve called this sunshine-filled, warm-weathered, friendly town home. Fort Worth, Texas has been an incredible place to mature and grow up into an adult. From Saturday TCU football games, Sundays spent admiring the artwork in the several museums, nights spent in the Stockyards dancing away, study dates at adorable coffee shops, and so much more in between, Fort Worth is a unique town and I’m heartbroken to leave it.

The week leading up to graduation I had to say goodbye to some of my favorite spots. Luckily, I was able to do it in style with the help of the sister team at Shop Modish! A delightfully adorable boutique located about 30 minutes from the TCU campus, Shop Modish has all the latest styles and trends, as well as classic closet necessities. The sister team, Morgan and Haleigh, are some of the sweetest, hard-working women you will ever meet! I’m so lucky to have their support as I launch this blog, and I’m so thrilled to share some looks from their boutique, Seriously, you need to check them out, and they have a website for those not in the local area: https://www.shop-modish.com/.

My first goodbye was to Brewed, a cozy coffeehouse on Magnolia Ave. I’m not a coffee drinker, but the hot chocolate is delicious! If you’re staying for food, definitely try the mac and cheese. Thank me later.

Of course, I’m obsessed with the message of this tee. We need each other to lift up and accomplish our dreams. Not only does this message rock, but the tee was incredibly soft, comfortable and breathable in the 90 degree sunshine. Plus, the blackberry color makes this piece perfect for all seasons and weather forecasts. Definitely recommend.

My second goodbye came with a sweet treat at Melt Ice Creams! I indulged on the vegan cookies and dreams (cookies and cream vegan ice cream with coconut) served in one of Melt’s famous, handcrafted waffle cones.

Ice cream dates are made better with a cute summer dress and this showstopper was perfect for just that. Not only are the florals beautiful, but the material of the dress is so soft. The detail in the sleeves takes this dress from a ten to a 12. I could spend all summer in this piece!

Walking around Magnolia, you can always find the perfect backdrop for photos. My fiancé and I were obsessing over these dark brick wall backdrops, which was a perfect contrast to the feminine floral off-the-shoulder top I had on. This shirt is flowy, adorable, and goes perfect with any color of jeans. The off-the-shoulder element allows you to flaunt your summer tan (in my case, non-existent tan), and the floral pattern can take this from a day-date, brunch with your girls, Saturday errands, and much more. Very versatile, very chic. Another A+ piece from Shop Modish.

Fort Worth will always hold a special place in my heart. While some of these weren’t photographed, here are my top 10 Fort Worth spots.
