2021 Word of the Year: Embrace

This year Cami Like a Tank Top is going to focus on the word embrace. But what does that mean?

Embrace {em-brace}

verb.

an act of accepting or supporting something willingly or enthusiastically.

Following the definition of Embrace, I am committed to embracing my boss babe, embracing my life, and embracing myself in 2021. Fully living in my truth. Owning and using my voice. Being loud about my passions and what’s important to me. Not being scared.

To embrace your boss babe means to step into a role of authority for your career. To accept that no one else is going to give you the job you want. You need to work for it. Ask for it. Go after it. You need to be the boss for yourself.

To embrace your life means to take hold of it. To not let life overwhelm me. To clean regularly, to buy stamps, to do all the little tasks that pile up before they pile up. It also means taking care of myself with nourishment, movement and wellness practices.

To embrace yourself means to step into your magic. To find your voice and use it often. To not be scared to live our your dreams. To not shy away from your passions. To find your confidence. To do things you want to do for you.

To embrace 2021 is to fully be present with yourself and go after your dreams.
